Name of the book: The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck
Author: Mark Manson
My Rating: 4.5/5
“The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck” is a self-help book that aids you with a counterintuitive approach towards living a good and happy life. The author talks about how people spend their lives giving fucks to anything and everything and hence reducing the importance of the things that are really valuable in life. He points out that by not giving a fuck he means directing your attention towards attention-worthy things rather than giving fucks about unimportant aspects such as popularity, fame and money.

How does he help the reader decide what is fuck-worthy and what isn’t? Simply by letting them figure out the true values and metric. This book is an interesting read and takes a counterintuitive approach towards happiness and the meaning of life. Towards the end of the book, I feel that the book has been drawn a tad bit long. However, the last chapter happens to be my favorite and I am not going to spoil it by telling you what it is about.
The book has some interesting insights, some obvious observations and a lot of real-life examples. It is a simple book that can be understood by anyone. And even though the author contradicts himself at points, it is definitely worth a read.
